Five separate leaves\u00a0fused\u00a0to become the Maple leaf we recognize.<\/p>\n<p>The emblem goes back in time to the process by which five separate leaves fused into a single expression. It pushes the concept of palimpsest from noun to action\u00a0&#8211; the process by which pieces and layers integrate into a complex system or organism.<\/p>\n<p>I incorporated this emblem\u00a0into Palimpsest project compositions.
